The Deep- To begin, this movie has a great beginning; it pulled me right into it.This is something not usually seen in movies of this type, so it makes it an unusual, yet pleasant experience.The action scenes are really great. Robert Shaw played his role great. Jacqueline Bisset actually caught my interest.

I think Robert Shaw and Jacqueline Bisset worked wonderful in The Deep. The great supporting cast includes Robert Shaw, Jacqueline Bisset, Nick Nolte, Louis Gossett Jr., Eli Wallach.

All in all, I would rate this movie an 8.5/10. I would definitely watch this movie again.

Summary of The Deep:
An obvious attempt to cash in on the success of Jaws, this 1977 thriller was also based on a bestseller by Peter Benchley, and it features a memorable performance by Robert Shaw (the doomed shark hunter in Jaws) in one of the last roles of his career. Looking very tanned and healthy, Nick Nolte and Jacqueline Bisset play a young couple enjoying a tropical vacation who discover a glass ampoule while scuba diving off the coast of Bermuda. It takes a seasoned treasure hunter (Shaw) to identify the ampoule as part of a valuable shipment of World War II morphine lost at sea, coincidentally, atop the even greater treasure of a sunken Spanish galleon. Thus begins a race for drugs and treasure pitting Nolte, Bisset, and Shaw against a ruthless drug lord (Louis Gossett Jr.) who’ll do anything–even resort to Haitian voodoo–to get what he wants. It’s all rather contrived and exploitative (after all, the movie’s best known for Bisset’s wet T-shirt scuba-dive), but as escapist entertainment goes it’s got some exciting highlights including a moray eel that attacks on cue and… well, uh, Jacqueline Bisset in a wet T-shirt. –Jeff Shannon

Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles A unique, one-of-a-kind movie! Both Paul Hogan and Linda Kozlowski has earned overwhelmingly positive reviews and is considered by many to be one of the best films of the year! Maybe that’s what makes the movie so good.The great cast includes Paul Hogan, Linda Kozlowski, Jere Burns, Jonathan Banks, Alec Wilson. The movie moves on like a dream and end leaving you wanting for more.

How long has it been since Paul Hogan’s grizzled but charming alter ego appeared in a new movie? Well, long enough for the character, Crocodile Dundee, and his American companion, Sue Charleton (Hogan’s real-life wife, Linda Kozlowski), to have raised a 9-year-old son, Mikey (Serge Cockburn), in the rough-and-tumble Australian outback that Dundee calls home. As with its two predecessors, however, Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles is no domestic comedy but a fish-out-of-water comic adventure, this time finding Dundee and his mate Jacko (Alec Wilson) relocated in balmy Southern California to help journalist Sue investigate a crooked studio executive. The jokes are predictable (L.A. traffic, Hollywood phonies, yoga) but fun, anyway, and there are some celebrity cameos to spice things up. Australian director Simon Wincer, who worked with Hogan on Lightning Jack, is very effective at keeping this light material briskly moving along even if he can’t make it any more memorable than it has a right to be. All in all, this is a pleasant but forgettable experience, a far cry from the Capra-esque leanings of Hogan’s first screen outing as Crocodile Dundee. –Tom Keogh

Summary of Tenchi Universe - On Earth I:
The first broadcast series may be the silliest–and funniest–entry in the Tenchi Muyo! franchise. The first four episodes set up the familiar situation of six women from outer space living at the Masaki family shrine in previously peaceful rural Japan.

In this version, the outrageous space pirate Ryoko arrives first, hotly pursued by bubble-brained Galactic Police Officer Mihoshi. After their ships crash in a nearby lake, Mihoshi sends out an SOS that reaches Jurai Princess Ayeka, who goes to investigate, followed by her little sister, Sasami. When Tenchi’s grandfather explains that the shrine was built 700 years ago to imprison a goblin, Ryoko can’t resist investigating. She and Ayeka get into yet another brawl over Tenchi and inadvertently release the goblin, who turns out to be the eccentric scientific genius Wasshu. She gleefully adds to the complications and, as Tenchi says in a rare understatement, life is soon “like a carnival.”

The artists play the story for laughs and deliver. After the grimly serious battles in so many mecha films, it’s a hilarious change to see an attack robot slip on a soda can, fall, and flail about like a turtle on its back.

Rated for ages 13 and up, but suitable for slightly younger viewers; some sexual innuendoes. –Charles Solomon

Since first visiting ebay I have become completely addicted. If you are the sort of person who cannot avoid the big shiny Sale signs in shops and would buy things that you do not need just because they are reduced. Or even worse one of those people (like me) who then goes on to justify the ludicrous amount of money that I have just spent by repeatedly telling people how much the stuff would have cost and therefore how much I have saved, then please avoid this site.

You can buy almost anything here from electrical equipment to cd’s videos and even clothes, though my experience is mainly limited to CD’s, and many items are much cheaper than you could get them anywhere else.

The design of the Ebay site isn’t exactly the best around, but it serves its purpose well. It’s simple, but functional. There’s no banner ads, Java or Flash to slow the site down.

You can either browse for what you want though the hierarchical categories or use the search engine. Browsing is simple, despite the thousands of items for sale, because of the tree-like way items are listed. The search engine is very good too. You can choose to search for items only in your country if you aren’t willing to/can’t send money abroad, you can exclude words from your search which is very useful if the word you search for regularly comes up with irrelevant items. (i.e. searching for the band Ash frequently produces Pokemon related results so the words “pokemon” and “pikachu” can be excluded to get better results).
You can search within a specific category only, which is useful in the music section where you only want CDs for example.

- I only bid or buy if I NEED something for myself or family
- I always set myself a £ limit
- I always check seller’s feedback
- If an auction’s on I’ll bid in the last few seconds
- I’ll check to see if the seller takes Paypal - much quicker and you have insurance
- before bidding or buying I always check the p&p as I usaully know what’s fair & what is a rip-off
- if happy I leave feedback straightaway

My philosophy in life is -

stick to the rules (in this case ebay’s)
treat others as you wish to be treated

bearing this is mind I’ll continue to use ebay when there’s nothing on TV!

Ebay is a well known and well respected internet auction website. A registered Ebay member can buy and sell from Ebay.

If selling is something you want to do, then a credit or debit card would have to be registered and possibly verified before you can sell. I have come across a problem when i first tried to sell something and my persoanl account had to be verified before hand. It enables the buyer to see that you have been verified by Ebay themselves. They are obvioulsy risks with adding credit or debit cards on the internet, but Ebay do offer alot of added security.
