As far as auction sites go, e-bay is one of the best. I have bought several items successfully at a bargain. As with all auction sites, the only problem is that the items are left too long on the site. This means that anyone that has the money can get the most items.
Those of us that are genuinely looking to buy cheap goods ending scrapping for the left overs.
You’ll be surprised how easily you get out bid on a lot of the items.
You can get updates via your mobile, but i don’t really bother as you are better just setting your stall out on a certain price. If you get it for that fine, if not there is always bound to be another item similar, that will come on.
Of course make sure that you check on any person that you are buying from, usually the user profiles have comments from people that have successfully traded with them.

Like a whole host of people I have joined ebay and become lighter in the wallet region.

I’m heavily into football and was told by a mate about a programme from the past going cheap so I thought well what harms is there to go and look what he’s on about. It was there that my addiction started.

Ebay is an auction site where you can buy practically anything you ever want to. They sell anything from football items to stamps and clothes.

The site itself is well structured and you don’t have to join in order to take look around. Just type in what your looking for and hit search and it will come back with the items in oder of them finishing. Once your hooked it may be worth you looking at items listed first. If you want to buy then you have to become a member which is fair enough and you make a bid on the relevant item.

I have only recently joined e-bay auctions (about a month ago), but already am pleased with the service and both the items I have purchased and the sellers I have purchased them from.

Navigating the site and bidding are both really easy to get the hang of, and there are handy helpful hints all over the site, as well as a ‘help’ section to help you with any queries. Items up for auction are organised into categories, making it easy to find the type of thing that you are looking for. Another handy point about e-bay is the e-mail service, which lets you know if an item you are watching is ending soon, or if you have been outbid or have won an auction. So far I have won about 8 auctions. Payment methods are determined by the seller, so vary, but I have paid all of my sellers by postal order so far, which seems to be a widely accepted method of payment, as do personal cheques. Some sellers take credit cards, but not all.

I have found some really unusual gifts as well as some bargai
n everyday items on e-bay, and would recommend that you have a look for yourself…you don’t have to sign up to browse, so check it out!

Ebay is an auction website. Items which can be bought or sold here range from a pin to a house. Only registered members can participate in the auction and/or sell goods.

I am an active member of Ebay, I mainly buy goods, particularly books and CDs and also sell some stuff, mainly CDs.
The registration process takes about 15 minutes, but if you do not have a Paypal account, you will need to have one as well since most sellers accept Paypal payments.

There is a search engine to find the items you wish to buy and from the main page you can go to the option “My Ebay” and here you can either select “sell” if you wish to sell or “buy” if you wish to buy.

If you buy, there is a listing fee of at least 15 pennies and Ebay will also take a commission of the final price, which can be in between 3.5% and 5.5%

In my experience, I got some good deals, I sent money already twice to people who did not send me the good and make a run, on one occasion I recovered them via Paypal. I also had a problem with one seller who did not honour his winning bid. Ebay is a bit of a mixed bag, but if you have time, you can get good deals. It is time consuming though, no doubt about this!

I will have to say in all the years of using the internet and buying a lot of things online Ebay has to be one of the easiest and cheapest ways of buying online.

I started using Ebay about 3 years ago now and can only regret that I hadn’t joined earlier, not only was the site so easy to navigate but everything was so clearly laid out and easy to find.

Ebay has so many goods available for sale that it has to be by far the biggest auction site on the internet, here are my reasons for using Ebay :

Advantages :

1: Website so easy to navigate
2: Thousands of categories to choose from making buying and selling so easy.
3: The abiltity to add pictures etc to your auctions for better acurate descriptions of the goods for sale.
4: Rating system giving you the buyer the oppertunity to suss out what other people think of that person before hand.
5: Insurance so that if a person doesn’t keep to there side of the bargain you wont loose out.
6: Member watching page giving you the oppertunity to watch any items price until the auction end so you can jump in at the right time.
7: Member section allowing you to keep an eye on your finances ie: how much you owe Ebay, how much you are making from your auctions and how long they have left,and how much you are buying, whether you are winning and how long they have left.

You will find it incredibly enjoyable but you will also find some great bargains that you may never see anywhere else.
