The murder rate is as high as an elephant’s eye in this flaccid adaptation of Stephen King’s short story. While driving through Nebraska en route to a new job, medico Burt (Peter Horton) and his wife Vicky (a pre-Terminator Linda Hamilton) nearly run over a mutilated boy who staggers from the cornfields. Seeking help, they enter the town of Gatlin, whose under-20 residents have butchered their parents per the decree of junior-grade holy roller Isaac (John Franklin), who preaches the word of a being called “He Who Walks Behind the Rows.” King’s original story (from his 1978 collection Night Shift) was a lean and brutal mélange of Southern-gothic atmosphere and E.C. Comics-style gore, which scripter Greg Goldsmith effectively neutralizes by adding a youthful narrator (a grating Robbie Kiger) and putting an upbeat spin on the story’s morbid conclusion. Fritz Kiersch’s direction is TV-movie flat, with the sole inspired moment (hideous religious iconography glimpsed during a bloody “service”) delivered as a throwaway. Aside from Horton and Courtney Gains (as Isaac’s hatchet man Malachai), the performances are dreadful, and the depiction of the Lovecraftian monster-god as a sort of giant gopher inspires more laughter than terror. Amazingly, the film spawned six sequels; Franklin (Cousin Itt in the Addams Family films) later appeared in and wrote 1999’s Children of the Corn 666. –Paul Gaita

Wow! I really loved the movie Chutney Popcorn. The movie is absolutely stunning with top-notch graphics and visuals while Cara Buono deliver some award-winning performances in this movie. I also think Nick Chinlund was great! The visuals and graphics make for some very realistic on screen special-effects but that is the beauty of the movie.When the movie wants to be funny it is funny, the same is true for when the movie needs to deliver its scary aspects.

I think Cara Buono and Nick Chinlund worked wonderful in Chutney Popcorn. The great supporting cast includes Cara Buono, Nick Chinlund, Saylor Creswell, Eliza Foss, Jill Hennessy.

You should see it, make no mistake this is a definite blockbuster!

Summary of Chutney Popcorn:
Chutney Popcorn takes up where quirky lesbian-themed comedy Go Fish left off. The twist? Reena (director Nisha Ganatra) is of Indian descent, but her girlfriend, Lisa (Law & Order’s Jill Hennessy), is not. This isn’t a problem in and of itself. Reena’s mother, however, views her daughter’s sexual orientation as a “disability” and describes Lisa as Reena’s “college roommate.” Then there’s Reena’s uptight sister, Sarita, who discovers she can’t conceive and draws even further away from her sibling. When Reena offers to be a surrogate, things just get worse. Lisa flees for fear that a baby will ruin her relationship with Reena, while Sarita changes her mind–but it’s too late: Reena is pregnant (via artificial insemination). There’s a happy ending, of course, but fortunately it isn’t too happy–you get the sense that Sarita still has a way to go before she can accept herself as fully as her unconventional, artistic sister. –Kathleen C. Is there anything more exciting than having to fight for those exclusive jeans from Next that would have cost 35 quid brand new BUT you might just get them for £15.

This is the phenomenon called EBAY and I am hooked…… Big Style. I can not help myself when someone says they paid loads of money for a leather coat and this little voice jumps from my throat saying,’ I could have got that cheaper on EBAY’.
One example, I had a crisis of having to go to a posh do and I had nothing to wear, so 2 weeks before I scanned Ebay and got a Fab dress and Sandals for £20. And to be a little modest , I LOOKED FAB and it was all down to an internet site that grabs your attention and then never lets go.
Also sold loads of stuff, that in my eyes should really go in bin, but one mans rubbish is another mans treasure.

At work I am the EBAY queen. Everyone asks me for EBAY advice and I now know that my mission in life is to promote the wonderful addiction to ebay….

I have been a member of Ebay for a while now and I find it brilliant, it is easy to join, all you need is a bank account and a few minutes to register for an Ebay account, you also have to set up a Paypal account which again only takes a few minutes and both are absolutely free, once you have done this you are up and running for both buying and selling on Ebay.

Auctions or Buy it now

You can either bid on items in the auctions or go to the buy it now section and get the item that you are after straight away, both ways are good, but sometimes in the auction you have to wait days for the listing to end, then again you can watch the item you want to buy in My Ebay section, which is at the top of your ebay home page, you can keep track of all your activites in this section, weather you are buying or selling, also you can log into your paypal account or make a list of your favourite sellers, this section is for your personal information on your ebay activities.

Paying for an item

When you buy an item and pay for it using, Paypal they pay the seller the amount required for you straight away, then they take it from your bank account a few days later, (usually about three days).
Then when you recieve your goods you leave feedback for the seller and they do the same for you, before buying or selling you can check a members feedback to see if it is positive or negitive, this is to show other members who the good Ebayers are.
Selling on Ebay

You can also sell any unwanted items you might have, again this is easy to do, just describe your item, choose what category it goes into and then add a picture of your item and thats your item listed.there is a small fee for this, but is only a few pence. approx 15p per picture added
If you dont recieve your item

Goods not recieved

There is a section where you can go to open a dispute, if you have paid for goods but did not recieve them, then this helps you to get a refund, which gives peace of mind .

Ebay is good for bargains or for those hard to get items, although sometimes you are better of just to buy the item from the shop, as some things are nearly the same price anyway, although this does not happen all the time, you do get bargains very often, I would highly recomend it .

Oh, ebay. I love you and I avoid you for your tendency to eat all my money.

Ebay, if you didn’t already know, is the world’s largest online auction site. People log on there to sell off their things, and you can find a massive variety of products - things I’ve bought off there have included cat toys, German DVDs, and live ants (yes, really!)

The only problem I’ve had buying from ebay is that it can be incredibly addictive. It’s very easy to get into the mindset of “just one more bid” and if you’re not careful you may actually end up paying more than you would at a site with fixed prices. Research what you’re buying, set yourself a fixed price as to how much you’re prepared to pay, and try not to impulse buy and you can pick up some bargains - my camera, bought last year ago on there, is still my beloved baby.

Also, watch postage prices. Although they’re not meant to, some sellers will offer items incredibly low and try to recoup costs by charging high postage. Always check the full price of an item before bidding.
